Sacred Heart of Jesus devotion is based entirely upon the symbolism of the heart. It is this symbolism that imparts to its meaning and its unity, and this symbolism is admirably completed by the representation of the Heart as wounded. Since the Heart of Jesus appears to us as the sensible sign of His love, the visible wound in the Heart will naturally recall the invisible wound of this love.
Jesus showed Himself to Sr. Margaret Mary in a way that she could understand – with a human heart aflame with love. He told her that He would be present in a special way to those devoted to His Sacred Heart and that His presence would lead to peace in families, the conversion of sinners, blessings in abundance and perseverance when death was near.
To know God’s love in Jesus and to share it with others is the central message of the gospels. There has been no change in this message for two thousand years. Ways of explaining our faith may change, forms of prayer may be altered, certain devotions may come in and out of style, but at the core is the loving heart of Jesus, which remains constant and true.
The message of the Sacred Heart is one of God’s deep and intimate love for us. Devotion to the Sacred Heart is an integral part of our Catholic heritage because it helps us to live the basic Christian message of faith and love. – Fr. Thomas Rosica
We will celebrate the Feast of Most Sacred Heart of Jesus on Friday, June 23rd.
We found a sweet country church near us, Sacred Heart of Jesus were we have been going to mass and adoration on Fridays. There is sweet young priest from Poland who is so in love of Our Lord, that makes you want to bottle him up and share with everyone. I’m looking forward to my son servicing with Father on Fridays so that he see up close and personal a priest who loves and honor Our Lord.
We have been especially going on First Fridays so that Our Lord can blessed us with his promises!
I will give them all the graces necessary in their state of life.
I will give peace in their families and will unite families that are divided.
I will console them in all their troubles.
I will be their refuge during life and above all in death.
I will bestow the blessings of Heaven on all their enterprises.
Sinners shall find in my Heart the source and infinite ocean of mercy.
Tepid souls shall become fervent.
Fervent souls shall rise quickly to great perfection.
I will bless those places wherein the image of My Heart shall be exposed and honored and will imprint My love on the hearts of those who would wear this image on their person. I will also destroy them all disordered movements.
I will give to priests who are animated by a tender devotion to my Divine Heart the gift of touching the most hardened hearts.
Those who promote this devotion shall have their names written in my Heart, never to be effaced.
I promise you in the excessive mercy of my Heart that my all-powerful love will grant to all those who communicate on the First Friday in nine consecutive months, the grace of final penitence: they will not die in my disgrace, nor without receiving their Sacraments. My Divine Heart shall be their safe refuge in this last moment.
The Nine Fridays must be made in honor of His Sacred Heart, meaning, practicing the devotion and having a great love of His Sacred Heart. They must be on the first Friday of the month for nine consecutive months, and Communion must be received.
In a word, the Sacred Heart of Jesus, whether considered in His divinity or in His humanity, is more
ardently enkindled with love for His Father, loving Him infinitely more at any given moment, than
all the hearts of angels and saints together can love Him throughout all eternity.
There is no greater love than to give one’s life for the person one loves. The Son of God so loves
His Father that He would be ready to sacrifice His own life again, as He sacrificed it upon the Cross,
and to sacrifice it by suffering the same torments for the love of His Father (if such were God’s holy
will) that He suffered on Calvary
St. John Eudes words are just inspiring and helps one to really feel and want the love of the Sacred Heart of Jesus!

He loves her most ardently because she cooperated with Him in the accomplishment of His
great work of the Redemption of the world. Her cooperation was to, give Him a mortal body capable of
suffering and of sustaining the torments of His Passion. She also imparted to Him the Precious Blood
which He shed for us, and she offered that body, that blood, and that life as a sacrifice at the foot of the
